“CONJECTURAL ANATOMIES”
With the title “CONJECTURAL ANATOMIES” Greek cross-over artist and
sociologist THANASIS PANOU participated at the Modern Artistic Interpretation
Of European Cultural Tour implemented in August 2008 in Bern-Switzerland,
Gratz-Austria, Brussels-Belgium and in October in Alexandria-Egypt. The large
scale event was organized by the Art and Culture-Centre for Artistic
Development and Culture in Athens-Greece and hosted participants, cross-over
artists from 15 countries coming together to debate also the relationship
between traditional art forms and modern technology. At this event , THANASIS
PANOU presented an idiomatic and interactive dialogue between poetry, music and
visual arts. Using poetry as the starting point and indeed the faster way to
convey his messages, the artist combines also creative sound spectrum of music,
drawings and video art to create a unique aesthetic result aiming to offer the
viewer multiform communication with his artifacts. The first electronic poetry
artifacts were created in 1985 using a multitudinous method called U.P.I.C by
J. XENAKIS, poet ANDREAS PAGOULATOS and KOSTAS STRATOUDAKIS and their works
were first presented at the 2th International Poetry Meeting at Gogolin France
in 1985 and the year after at Pplyphonix 1988. The Music of J. MIZAROLLI, A.
PERDIKIS AND J. ZOUGANELIS within the co- existence with the poetry, painting
and video art of Thanasis Panou construct a concrete aesthetic approach of
experiencing those art forms as a conjectural act of an artistic exercise.
Thanasis Panou’ s exhibitions will be continued also during 2009 as variations
of those in 2008 trying to keep up the artistic dialogue and communication
between cross-over artists around Europe.

Panou reptend dans les Creoles l’ expression ardente de ses portraits
lorsg’ il les anime d’ un element qui pourrait etre decrit comme la catalyse
instantanee de l’ immobilite qui cependant se repete sans cesse. Plus
precisement il s’ agit par l’ intermediaire de la representation pictuale des
objets, d une etude sensible et judicieuse de la signification du noir qui tout
en entourant les objets reste. La couleur dominante du peintre. C’ est un noir
profound mais contradictoire qui donne la sensation de puiser ses raciness dans
la lumiere tout en affrant une promesse legeze mais incessant de destruction de
l’ obscurite.
Il s’ agit d’un discouts qui s effectue a la base d’ un contzepoint
harmonieux du tettestre et du transgressant , d’ on decoule egalement l’
ineriorite palpitante du pentre.
